It seems like every time that Jaguar introduces a new car, they do it with the kind of stunts you’re going to remember. That’s definitely the case with the new XF Sportbrake--which arrives in America this winter for the first time—but they took a more practical angle. Instead of barrel rolls, the wagon showed off its speed and stability by towing a skier in pursuit of a world record.

Before Jaguar took their turn, the Guinness World Record for the top speed a skier towed behind a vehicle was 70 mph. That’s a bit low, if you ask us, and apparently the Big Cat agreed. So, they headed up to the Arctic Circle with Olympic skier Graham Bell and a 380-horsepower XF S Sportbrake to smash things up. In this case, slow and steady won the race, but that doesn’t mean that the record-breaking speed was slow by any means! Take a look at the clip above to see how it turned out.

You can also experience the record-breaking XF Sportbrake when it arrives on our shores soon. Already interested? Let our Jaguar dealership in Huntsville, AL know, and we can let you know when it gets here so we can schedule your test drive.
