Having a car battery die can be a stressful situation. If you meet someone who is in this situation, you can jump start their car so that they can get back on the road.
Jumper cables are a great way to jump start another car. You should first consider the voltage level on your vehicle and the other vehicle. Your car battery should be equal to or greater than the voltage level of the battery on their vehicle. The next step is to make sure both vehicles are put in park or neutral. After this has been done, the ignition of both vehicles should be shut off. Next, you should utilize one of the red clips and attach it to the positive terminal of their battery. The other red clips should be attached to the positive terminal of your vehicle.
Lastly, one of the black clips should be utilized and attached to the negative terminal of the other battery. The last black clip should then be utilized and attached to a metal surface on the vehicle that isn't in close proximity to the battery. Allow the engine to run for a few minutes and try to start the vehicle.
